Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. as detective Stuart Bailey, 77 Sunset Strip forever set the mold for screwball detective shows during its six-year run on ABC and also set comb sales soaring thanks to the antics of Edd Byrnes as Gerald Kookie Kookson III! In fact, its hard to find a TV viewer from the day who doesnt crack a smile when this series is brought up, and so now, 40 years after its last year on the air, were reissuing the soundtrack album, which includes the theme song along with composer Warren Barkers jazzy, Mancini-esque scores for the show. We would say this is our ginchiest release ever, except that we also released Edd Byrnes solo album, so we'll settle for saying this is definitely one of our coolest Collectors Choice Music exclusives!
